Alyssa has got a new book of shadows

Alyssas is having a bit of a meltdown right now.

The 21-year-old author of the acclaimed novel, The Long Kiss Goodnight, has written a new collection of short stories, The Book of Shadows, which has been released online.

In the story, Alyssan lives with her sister, Sarah, and their dog, Minkie, in an unnamed rural community.

She has recently been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and depression, and is currently trying to find the balance between the two.

“The book is about an invisible war,” Alyssam says.

“And I think about that a lot.”

Readers have been sharing their stories of depression and suicidal thoughts, but not Alyssap’s own experiences.

“I feel like it’s a very personal story, but I feel like I’ve got to share it to give the story the voice that I think it deserves,” she says.

The book’s creator, A.A. Milne, said the book was inspired by her own experiences with depression.

“When I was going through a depression and I felt like I was falling through the cracks of the world, I wrote about that too,” she said.

“There’s this great book about depression called The Long Goodbye.

I thought I’d share that.”

The story will be released on July 31, but Alyssah will be giving a talk at the University of Queensland in Queensland, where she will talk about the experience of depression.

Her new book is titled The Book Of Shadows, and it’s available on Kindle.

Alyssa will be on Twitter starting at 4:00pm AEDT and on Facebook at noon.
